Oh my......what is WRONG with me? I apparently have tremendous difficulties making things that are normal. Hence this sock puppet bride and groom. I just couldn't help myself. I don't think there is a huge market of people who want to put socks on top of their wedding cake (which is probably why I've never seen this topper before) but that didn't stop my NEED to make these things. Haha, I have a feeling they are going to be with me for a long, long time. That's OK, they will keep me company.
Possible explanation: I think I'm on Muppet overload. Yes, that's it. I've been watching too many Muppet Christmas movies and that is to blame for this nonsense. But if anyone asks, let's just call this "WHIMSICAL." But we all know that's just a fancy word for "strange."
It's not easy to see in the photo but the bride sock has a pretty tulle veil. She's a dress sock. With pink stripes and googly eyes.
They are larger than my average toppers (they stand between 4 and 5.25 inches tall), but they still do fit on top of my 6 inch cake. You know......for the millions of brides whose dream wedding cake has a pair of socks on top. Cuz nothing says "fairytale wedding" like a sock puppet.

I know a couple or two who booked Long Island weddings. I think they would like to have these kitschy toppers! Too cute.
Those are really cute. I think it is also good for a wedding cake topper.
